Return & Refund Policy

At Cooma Outdoor Co, we want you to be confident in your purchase. Please read the following policy carefully before initiating a return.


Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before the product has been shipped or processed.

If your order is successfully cancelled prior to dispatch, you will receive a full refund.

Once an order has been shipped, we are unable to cancel it. In this case, the standard return process will apply.


Returns – Change of Mind

We accept returns for change-of-mind purchases within 7 days of delivery.

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused
  • In original condition
  • In original packaging
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Returns requested more than 7 days after delivery will not be accepted unless required under Australian Consumer Law.


Return Shipping Costs

If the return is due to change of mind:

(e.g. incorrect size selected, colour preference, no longer required)

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Return freight costs depend on the courier selected.

If the return is due to our error:

(e.g. incorrect item supplied, damaged on arrival, confirmed manufacturing defect)

  • Cooma Outdoor Co will cover return shipping costs.
  • A replacement, repair, or refund will be offered in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

How to Make a Return

Please retain all packaging until you are satisfied with your purchase.

To initiate a return:

  1. Email info@coomaoutdoorco.com.au
  2. Include:
    • Your full name
    • Order number
    • Reason for return
    • Photos (if applicable)
  3. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address.
  4. Once shipped, please send us:
    • Courier name
    • Tracking number

Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.


Refund Process

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you via email.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method.
  • Processing times typically range from 3–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again.
  2. Contact your card provider.
  3. Contact your bank (processing delays can occur).

Important Notes

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
  • Products returned damaged due to inadequate packaging may not be eligible for a full refund.
  • If a payment discrepancy appears on your statement, please check with your bank first regarding potential international or processing fees.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to:

  • A refund or replacement for a major failure
  • Repair or replacement if goods fail to meet acceptable quality standards

This change-of-mind policy operates in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.
