Great filtration but rod feels delicate

The fine mesh filtration is optimised perfectly and delivers a brilliant, clean cup of coffee. However, to keep the unit ultra-lightweight, the central metal plunging rod has a very thin profile that feels slightly flexible and delicate when pressing firmly.
